95 Years Old
Mrs. Elizabeth Denning of Pleasant Ridge was 95 years old yesterday. Relatives and friends gathered at her farm home last evening for a birthday supper. Mrs. Denning is in good health and does her own housework with the help of her sons. Yesterday she baked doughnuts and helped prepare the birthday supper.

She was born June 21, 1844, in Ohio, and came to Clayton County, Iowa, when she was nine years old. For the past 75 years she has lived on her Pleasant Ridge farm. Her two sons, Orin and Charles, live with her. She also has two other children, Mrs. John Knapp and Leonard Denning.

Those who attended the party last evening were Mr. and Mrs. John Knapp and Eileen Thompson, Mr. and Mrs. Jess Vaughn, Mrs. John Sass, Mr. and Mrs. R.J. Denning and family, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Denning and son John, Ward Ferguson, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Timmerman and Herman Timmerman who is here from St. Paul. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bachtell also called and brought her a birthday cake.
