MISS DOROTHY WRIGHT BECOMES BRIDE OF WALTER C. CLAUSON
At a candlelight ceremony perfomed Thursday at 4 o’clock at St. Paul’s Methodist Church, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Miss Dorothy Eloise Wright, daughter of Mrs. Ethel M. Wright of Cedar Rapids, became the bride of Walter Curtis Clauson, son of Mrs A. Clauson of Ellsworth. The Rev. Arthur A. Brooks, performed the ceremony.
Mrs. Paul H. Lahr was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Jean Reid and Miss Iola Mentzer . David Flage of Waukon was best man. Ushers were Jay Mathews and Allan Kane both of Farmersburg.
Mr. and Mrs. Clauson left Thursday evening for a trip to Niagara Falls. They will be at home after September 1st in Farmersburg where Mr. Clauson is superintendent of schools.
Mrs. Clauson was graduated from Coe College, where she was a member of Chi Omega sorority and Phi Kappa Phi honorary scholastic society. Since her graduation she has been teaching home economics in the high school in Decorah. Mr. Clauson attended Iowa State College at Ames where he was a member of Theta Xi fraternity and was graduated from the Iowa State Teachers College where he was affiliated with Xanhon fraternity.
