THE STATE OF IOWA, Delaware County, ss:
I, C. S. Maxoon do solemnly swear that I am acquainted with Sears T. Richards, of Egdewood, Clayton County, Iowa, and that he is at least 21 years of age; and that I am acquainted with Jennie Shipton of Delaware County that she is at least 18 years of age...

License Issued for the Marriage of S. T. Richards and Jennie Shipton on the testimony of C. S. Maxoon.

CERTIFICATE OF MARRIAGE.
To The Circuit Court of Delaware County:
This certifies, That on the 2nd day of September A.D. 1888, at Edgewood in said county of Clayton, according to laws and by authority, I duly Joined in Marriage Mr. Sears T. Richards and Mrs. Jennie Shipton.

Given under my hand, the 4rd day of Sept A. D. 1888 ... C. Sanborn, J. P.
