To observe Golden Wedding.
Mr. and Mrs Jake Fenchel will observe their Golden Wedding anniversary at their home on Wednesday, December 26. Due to Mr Fenchel's ill health the day will be spent quietly.
Jake Fenchel and Agnes Tracy were married at Elkader, Ia., on December 26, 1906. They lived at Elkport for a year following their marriage, then farmed in the St. Sebald area northwest of Strawberry Point for 16 years. After living in Strawberry Point for a year they moved to their present farm home three miles south of Strawberry Point where they have lived for the past 32 years. They were the parents of two children: Carence who owns and operates a farm near his parent's farm, and Joe who died in a hunting accident in 19.2. There are two grandchildren - Ronald Fenchel of Strawberry Point and Sandra Fenchel of Greeley.
