LUCY SALMON-

Miss Lucy Salmon, the new Professor of History at Vassar College, is a woman with a future. Her book, “The Appointing Power of the President,” is the clearest monograph that has appeared on that difficult subject, and is a noteworthy production for one of the nonpolitical sex. Miss Salmon is a graduate of Michigan University and a fellow of Bryn Mawr College. It is curious, by the way, that seven of the ten fellowships open to competition in that woman’s college are held by graduates of co-educational schools. Miss Salmon is fine looking, with a clear open face, physically and mentally healthy, and steadfast looking. She began her career as an educator in Iowa, having been for six years principal of the McGregor high school.
