Mrs. Edna Louise Magnussen, sixty-one years of age and a resident of Spencer and vicinity for some time, passed away last Wednesday afternoon, January 3, at a hospital in Estherville. Her health had been failing for some time.

She was born October 20, 1861, in Sweden and came to America in 1880. She was united in marriage to A.E. Magnussen February 16, 1886.

Four children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Magnussen. One died when a child in Illinois. The other three, Archer Magnussen of Spirit Lake, Mrs. J. Henning of Los Angeles, California, and Mrs. Jay Hurd of Havre, Montan, are here now for the funeral. She is also survived by her husband, A.E. Magnussen and her sister, Mrs. John Lundquist of this city. Funeral services were held Sunday, January 7, at the Swedish Lutheran church at two o'clock. The services were in charge of Rev. A.E. Gustafson and interment was made in Riverside cemetery.
