Clara Seller Passes Away at Home Here
Formerly Resident of Harmony Farming Community
Mrs. Clara Seller, 81, a resident of Spencer since 1913, died at her home, 799 East Fifth street, Thursday morning at 2 o'clock, the cause of her death being a complication of diseases incident to old age. She became ill four weeks ago, and most of the time since she had been confined to her bed.
Mrs. Seller, whose maiden name was Clara Bright, was born in Independence, Iowa, May 26, 1855. She was married to John Edgar Seller on March 5, 1878.
After their marriage they lived at Shellsburg, Iowa, for several years, coming to Clay county in 1893. From 1893 to 1913 they operated a farm in the Harmony neighborhood southeast of Spencer..
Mr. Seller succumbed eight years ago.
Surviving are two sons, R.E. Seller of Clinton, Iowa, and W.E. Seller of Spencer; one brother, Jesse A. Bright of Hamilton, Mont., and three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Seller attended the Congregational church in Spencer.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Cobb's Funeral Home.
