Dickens Mother Buried Today
Funeral Services for Mrs. T. H. Scott Held in Dickens this Afternoon – Was Ill Long Time
Funeral services for the late Mrs. T. H. Scott of Dickens were held this afternoon at two o’clock from the Methodist church in Dickens, the services being conducted by the pastor, Rev. Dyson. Burial was made in the Dickens cemetery.
Mrs. Scott, whose maiden name was Elizabeth Mary Hargrave, was born in Sioux township, this county, forty-eight years ago, being the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Hargrave, who reside south of Dickens.
Her entire life has been spent in this county and it was here that she was united in marriage to T. H. Scott. To this union were born nine children, namely, Everett, Mrs. Maude Thompson, Ray, Carl, Mrs. Iola Hanna, Lyla, Alice and Charlotte, who with the husband and other relatives survive her.
Her death followed a long and lingering illness.
