IRENE LUTJEN SERVICES ARE HELD TUESDAY

Music was provided by the soloist, Mrs. Orville Koechert, who sang "Nearer My God to Thee" and "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere". the was accompanied by the organist, Mrs. Fred Adrian.

Pallbearers were: Mr. Don Meyer, Mr. Jim Walton, Mr. Henry Bryan, Mr. Henry Frydenborg, Mr. Ted Fischer and Mr. Cecil Petersen.

Interment was made in the Lone Tree Cemetery near Everly.

Mrs. Lutjen was a lifetime resident of Everly. She became ill Friday and was admitted to the Hartley Community Hospital, Friday noon, where she passed away Friday night. She has attained the age of sixty years.

OBITUARY

Irene Lutjen, daughter of Edgar and Florence Meade Tusler, was born at Everly, Iowa on April 17, 1901 and passed away at the Hartley Community Hospital on March 30, 1962, just eighteen days before her sixty first birthday.

She spent her entire life in Everly except for two years, when she lived near Spirit Lake. She received her elementary and high school education in Everly and North Superior schools.

On November 6, 1919 she was united in marriage to Clarence S. Lutjen at Spencer, Iowa. To this union, two children were born, one daughter (Marciel) Mrs. Orlo Jordan of Everly and one son, Dale, of Beaverton, Oregon.

She was preceded in death by her husband in October 1957. Immediate survivors are her son and daughter, five grandchildren, Kay, Lon and Jean Jordan and David and Donald Lutjen; two brothers, Mr. Joe Tusler of Estherville and Mr. Leroy Tusler of Sturtevant, Wisconsin.

She is also survived by other relatives and a host of friends who will miss her presence about town.
