Funeral services for Mrs. Thurma Esther Farris, 88 of Spencer were Saturday, January 6, 2007 at Living Word Church of Spencer. Rev. Alan Dean and Rev. Josh Davenport officiated the service
Interment took place at Barnes Township Cemetery of Linn Grove
Casket Bearers were Joe Larson, David Decker, tom Larson, Wade Newcomer, Dennis Larson and Robert Stamper
Thurma passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at the Spencer Hospital
Thurma, the daughter of Ben and Anna (Jochims) Decker was born December 18, 1918 in Pocahontas County. Her childhood years were spent in Linn Grove, where she received her education
Thurma married Leon Larson in 1936. Following their marriage, they lived in Linn Grove. Leon passed away in 1947
Thurma married Harvey Farris in 1948 and they lived in Spencer, where she continued to live for the rest of her life
She attended the Living Word Church and the Victory Baptist Church in Spencer
She was preceded in death by her parents; both of her husbands; three brothers; Bernard George and Herman; one sister, Wanda Boothby; and one son, Jerry Larson
Thurma is survived by two sons; James Larson and wife, Alice of Spencer, and Randy Larson and wife, Jeanne of Waco, Texas; one daughter, Connie Dean and her husband, Jim of spencer; nine grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; a daughter in law, Janice Larson of Spencer; and three sisters; Kay Morris and her husband, Herschel of Linn Grove, Dorothy Camp of Linn Grove and Betty Nelson of Ida Grove
Warner Funeral Home of Spencer is in charge of arrangement
