Helen Margaret Wilken died Sunday at the Spencer Municipal Hospital. She was 73
The daughter of Christian and Sena (Larson) Dyhrkoop was born September 30, 1910 in Spencer. She graduated from Spencer High School in 1928 and worked in Spencer for a number of years
She married George Wilken, February 23, 1941 in Spencer. they farmed south of Everly until 1968, when they moved into Everly.
Mrs. Wilken was a member of the Hope Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband, George Wilken of Everly; one son, Gordon Wilken of Everly; four daughters, Linda Mortensen of Storm Lake, Janice Johnson of Tempe, Arizona, Sandra Harms of Denver, Colorado and Susan Espey of Hartley; one stepdaughter, Clara Goeken of Everly; nine grandchildren; five step grandchildren, two great grandchildren; five step-grandchildren and one brother, Donald Dyhrkoop of Spencer
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Hope Lutheran Church in Everly. The Rev. Roger Hanson will officiate
Burial will be in the Lone Tree Cemetery in Everly
Casket Bearers will be Tom Goeken, John Goeken, Edwin Keefer, Dick Goeken, Norman Sindt and Robert Goeken
The Warner Funeral Home is in charge of the service arrangements
