Funeral for Eldon Ervin Wiese,64 of Spencer will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 23 from Hope Lutheran Church in Everly. Pastor Roger Hanson will officiate
Burial will be at Lone Tree Cemetery at Everly
Bearers will be Roger Cooper, John Wilken, Fritz Wilke, Clifford Hartman, Darrel Scharnberg and Harland Brownmiller
Mr. Wiese died Thursday at St. Joseph's Hospital in Sioux City
He was born June 4, 1913 to Louis and Minnie (Knoop) Wiese at Galt, Iowa. Mr. Wiese received his education in Everly Schools and later attended Coine Electrical School in Chicago
On September 26, 1936, he was married to Velma Peters at Hobart, Indiana, after marriage the couple lived in Minnesota one year, California one year, and returned to Everly where he farmed until retiring in 1969. They moved to Spencer in 1971
He was a member of Hope Lutheran Church of Everly and the Masonic Lodge in Spencer and Everly
Surviving are his widow, Velma; a son, Robert of Everly; a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Judith) Trevithick of Lakewood, California and five grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister
Warner Funeral Home of Spencer is in charge of arrangements
