Funeral services for Carol Jean Wieben, 44, of Silver Bay, Minnesota and formerly of Calumet, will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in the United Methodist Church in Hartley. The Rev. William Tomlinson will officiate with burial in the Lone Tree Cemetery, Everly
Dennis Ebel, Joel Tewes, Brett Shafer, David Ebel, Michael Tewes and Doug Hicks will serve the casket bearers
Wieben, the daughter of Edwin and Anna (Hinz) Shafer, was born August 17, 1937 in Calumet. She graduated from the Calumet High School in 1955 and married John Wieben in Calumet on September 4, 1955
They live Silver Bay, Minnesota since 1956, where she was employed by the Reserve Mining Company as a management information systems worker
Wieben died Monday at work.
Preceding her in death was and infant son, Bruce Allen Wieben
Survivors include her husband John; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Shafer of Paullina; three sisters, Mrs. Leora Ebel of Sutherland, Mrs. Betty Alleven of Mapleton, Minnesota and Mrs. Marlys Tewes of Paullina; and one brother, Wallace Shafer of Granville
The Baumgarten Funeral Home of Hartley is in charge of the service arrangements
