Larry Walton, 50, Everly, died Wednesday, January 26 at North Lawn Mercy Health Center, Mason City
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 29 at 10:30 a.m. at United Methodist Church, Everly, with the Rev. Larry McAlpine and Emmanuel Das officiating
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. today. The family will be present from 6:30-8 p.m. on Friday
Burial will be in Lone Tree Cemetery, Everly, with Warner Funeral Home of Spencer in charge of arrangements
Casket bearers will be Kevin Adolf, Roger Putnam, Jim Wilcox, Gary Scharnberg, Al Grigg and Bruce Brigham
Honorary bearers will be Delmar Struve, Delbert Boyles, Dick Holst, Dale Adolf and Stan Meyerdirk
Larry Boyd Walton, the son of Boyd and Edna (Allen) Walton, was born September 11, 1943, in Hartley. It was there he received his early education, graduating from Everly High School in 1961
On May 1, 1964, he married Betty Fear in Everly. Throughout their marriage, they made their home in Everly. He was a member of the Everly Fire Department, where he served as Chief for a time
Mr. Walton was preceded in death by one brother
He is survived by his wife, Betty; two sons, Jeffery Lee and his wife, Lori of Everly; Randal Wayne and his wife, Sheli of Sioux City; one daughter, Patricia Ann and her husband Monty Scott of Webster City; seven grandchildren, his parents, Boyd and Edna Walton of Everly; two sisters, Sharon and her husband Kenneth Sawyer of Humboldt and Judy and her husband Don Bailey of Pomeroy
