Services for Agnes Lorraine Thomas, 87, of Spencer will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Warner Chapel. The Rev. Harrison Dawes will officiate
Casket bearers will be Roland Thomas, Norval Binder, LeRoy Koep, Arlo Gritten, Donald Steffen and Weldon Pickering
Honorary bearers will be Ken Joenks and Walt Hill
Burial will be at Lone Tree Cemetery in Everly
Warner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
Mrs. Thomas died Thursday at St. Luke's Lutheran Home
The daughter of Herman and Katie (Laachman) Koep, she was born January 11, 1900 in Luzerne. The family lived in Benton County until her early childhood, when they moved to Jackson County, Minnesota, where she attended school.
She married Carl Hansen, October 5, 1921, in Everly. Throughout her adult life, she lived on farms near Royal, Linn Grove and Rossie
She married Merl Thomas, August 29, 1941 in South Sioux City, Nebraska. They retired in 1973m moved to Spencer and spent winters in Phoenix, Arizona
Mrs. Thomas was a member of the United Church of Christ in Rossie, where she was active in the ladies group and furnished many flowers for church event
Survivors include a son, Donald Hansen and his wife, LaVonne, of Hartley; a daughter and her husband, June and Donald Gonnerman of Okoboji; three step children, Eleanor Florence of Bethany, Oklahoma, Ruby Downing of Oak Grove, Missouri and Cleone Copp of Omaha, Nebraska; a sister, Helen Streufert of Spencer; six grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Merl in 1979; two brothers and two sisters
