Funeral services for Robert Schmidt, 54, Suwanee, Georgia, formerly of Everly and Spencer area resident, will be 10:30 a.m. today at the Warner Chapel. The Rev. Roger Hanson will officiate and burial will be in the Lone Tree Cemetery, Everly
Military services will be by the American Legion Post 414, Everly
Casket bearers will be Dean Annif, Dick Thiessen, George Hintz, George Thiessen, Morris Fell and Dale Hollesen
Schmidt died in a fire at Annandale Village, Suwanee, Georgia
The son of Chris and Mildred (Sorensen) Schmidt, he was born September 23, 1928 in Kewanee, Illinois and lived in California and Iowa
Following his schooling, Robert entered the military and served with the Navy during the Korean War.
While in the service he married Eldora Harrington and during a protion of his enlistment he was stationed in Norfolk, Virginia
Since 1974 he was a patient in Annandale Village in Suwanee, Georgia
He is survived by two sons and their wives, Rodney of Windom, Minnesota; and Steve of Minneapolis, Minnesota; one grandson, one brother, one sister, a niece, nephew and great nephew
The Warner Funeral Home, Spencer is in charge of the arrangements
