Funeral services for David Roger Roskens, 43, of Cresthill, Illinois and formerly of Everly, will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Warner Chapel. The Rev. Alan Wiese will officiate at the service.
Burial will be at Lone Tree Cemetery in Everly
Casket bearers are Tim Roskens, Dean Peterson, Tom Slawson, Larry Aakhus, Bill Slawson and Don Fear
Mr. Roskens died Saturday at his home in Joliet, Illinois
The son of Arnold and Peggy (Slough) Rosken, he was born October 2, 1942 in Spencer. He received his education in Everly and lived there until entering the military service
He served in the U.S. Army from April, 1964 to March, 1966. Following his discharge, he moved to Joliet, Illinois, where he was employed by Caterpillar Tractor Company for 20 years
He married Alice Rodigero in June, 1967
He was an active member of the Moose Lodge in Joliet and enjoyed golfing, skiing, bowling and riding motorcycles
Survivors include his son, Grant of San Diego, California; one brother, Gary of Avoca; two sisters, Margie DeSantis and Sandy Callahan, both of San Diego; and his maternal grandmother, Naoma Stough of San Diego.
