Ted Lorenzen, 84, Hartley died Thursday at Hartley
Services for Mr.. Lorenzen will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church, Hartley. The Rev. Melvin Ammon will officiate
Burial will be in Lone Tree Cemetery, Everly
Casket bearers will be Denny Lorenzen, Steve Throne, Jamie Murray, Michael Thorne, Jeff Murray, Billy Rausch, Larry Scharnberg and Bob Rausch
The Baumgarten Funeral Home, Hartley is in charge of arrangements
The son of Nis and Lena (Gries) Lorenzen, he was born November 18m 1903 in Clay County. He started farming in 1927 southeast of Moneta and then in 1936 moved to a farm north of Everly. He moved to Graettinger in 1948 and to Hartley in 1952 and sold feeder cattle for several years.
Mr. Lorenzen was a member of the United Methodist Church at Hartley
He loved roses and was known for the enjoyment he derived from growing them
He was preceded in death by his parents; five brother; and five sisters.
Survivors include Lillian Harjes of Storm Lake
Spencer Daily Reporter, Spencer, Clay County, Iowa September 2, 1988
