Funeral services for Elva Maye Lorenzen, 70 will be held Thursday morning at 11:00 at the United Methodist Church. The Rev. Allen Wiese will officiate
Burial will be in the Lone Tree Cemetery
Casket bearers will be Marvin Wesphalen, Dwight Lorenzen, Darrel Scharnberg, Robert Rausch, Harold Thorne and Don Baumeister
Lorenzen died Sunday at St Luke's Hospital, Sioux city
The daughter of Jack and Anna Trojahn, she was born June 15, 1912 in Omaha, Nebraska. She moved with her parents to O'Brien County and received her education there
She married Edward Lorenzen on September 7, 1932 and they farmed in the Everly area until moving to town in 1960.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church and was active in the Women's Fellowship
Lorenzen worked at Aalf's Manufacturing in Spencer for 10 years, retiring in 1972
Survivors include one daughter, Joyce Murray, Onawa; one son, Dale Lorenzen, Naperville, Illinois; 12 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; her mother, Anna Trojahn, Long Beach, California; two brothers, Donald Trojahn, Bellflower, California and Darrell Trojahn, Grants Pass, Oregon and two sister, Lorrayne Westphalen, Royal and Bernice Trojahn, North Hollywood, California
Preceding her in death were her father, one grandson a and her husband in 1977
