Alice Elizabeth (Betty) Linnihan, a former city clerk for Everly, died Saturday at the Mann Memorial Wing in Hartley. She was 77
Mrs. Linnihan, daughter of Francois Daigneau and Alice Merrick, was born March 3, 1907 in Austin, Minnesota. After receiving her early education in Austin, Linnihan attended St Mary's Academy in Winnipeg, Manitoba for two years. After her schooling, she taught school in Minnesota for about a year
She married Terrence Linnihan, January 27, 1927 in Adams, Minnesota. She lived in the Everly area since 1933. Her husband died, September 5, 1974. Mrs. Linnihan had lived at the Mann Memorial Wing in Hartley for the past eight years
Mrs. Linnihan was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Everly and its Rosary Society. She was also a bookkeeper for the Everly Elevator
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Droll of Everly, five grand children 13 great grandchildren
Services will be today at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Everly. The Rev. Thomas Munn will officiate
Casket Bearers will be Ed Monnahan, Willie Hartmann, Rupert Knapp, Dave Cuttell, Vern Jacobson and Gary Christofferson
Burial will be in Lone tree Cemetery in Everly
Scriptures services were held Sunday at St. Mary's Catholic Church
Warner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
