Funeral for Wilbur B. Leslie, 85 of Everly was held Wednesday morning from the United Methodist Church of Everly. The Rev. Gary Bird officiated Burial was at Lone Tree Cemetery
Bearers were Wilson Drury, Dale Holleson, Glen Rihner, Jerome Glackin, Bob Mugge and Bob Cuttell
Mr. Leslie died last Sunday at Spencer Municipal Hospital
He was born May 5, 1892 to Marion and Elizabeth (Mencer) Leslie at Deplhi, Indiana
On November 7, 1918, he was married to Gertrude Hintz at Nevada, Iowa
Mr. Leslie was a painter
He received his education in Indiana and moved to Everly in 1912. He retired in 1957
Surviving are five sons, Lawrence of Gillett Grove; Clarence of Hibbing, Minnesota; Clifford of Orage City; Walter of Clear Lake and Robert of Des Moines; two daughters, Mrs. O.G. (Idelene) Tessum and Mrs. Douglas (Marilyn) Gathman of Everly; 28 grandchildren; a great grandchild and two sisters, Mrs. Josephine Martin of Logansport, Indiana and Miss Nelle Leslie of Pompano Beach, Florida
He was precede in death by his parents, his wife, three grandchildren, seven brothers and a sister
Warner Funeral Home of Spencer was in charge of arrangements
