Hans Kruse, 86 Royal died Saturday at the Spencer Municipal Hospital
Funeral services were held Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Royal, with the Rev. Frederick Kempfert officiating
Casket bearers were Duane Kracht, Jerry Dean, Doug Wetherell, Wayne Brown, David Dean and Robert Wetherall
Honorary casket bearers were Tom Mann, Jack Kruse and Bob Dean
Burial was in Lone Tree Cemetery in Everly and the Warner Funeral Home in Spencer was in charge of arrangements
The son of Henry and Johanna (Struve) Kruse, he was born April 21, 1902 near Peterson. His childhood years were spent in that community and it was in the country schools that he received his early education. As an infant, Mr. Kruse was baptized into the Christian faith. He later became a confirmed member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Royal.
He married Wilna Alice Reismann in Jackson, Minnesota on November 20, 1935. They farmed in the Peterson area for several years before moving to a farm near Rossie. They remained on the farm until retiring and moving to Royal in 1985. Mr. Kruse enjoyed hunting during his free time.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, two brothers and two sister
Survivors include his wife; one daughter and her husband Muriel and Arvin Schmidt of Manilla; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren and one sister, Della Dubois of Northshire Residence in Spencer
