Services for David Lee Jipson, 33 of Mason City and formerly of Hartley, will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. from the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hartley. Father Jerome Coyle will officiate with burial in Lone Tree Cemetery in Everly
Rony Sears, Wendell Shouse, Jr., Gary Brazle, Larry Zinn, Keith Rachuy and Jim Pietz will serve as pall bearers
Jipson, the son of Verlyn and Marie (Mayou) Jipson, was born December 16, 1946, in Hartley, where he graduated from high school in 1965. He later attended Worthington Junior College and Mankato State College in Mankato, Minnesota.
Jipson had lived in Denver, Colorado for four years before moving to Mason City in 1972
He died Thursday at this home in Mason City.
Jipson was preceded in death by one brother, Steven in January 1980
Surviving him are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Verlyn Jipson of Hartley; one daughter, Mackenzie Rae; two sisters, Victoria Myron of Mankato and Valerie Bonney of Spencer, two brothers, Michael of Largo, Florida and Douglas of Omaha, Nebraska; one sister-in-law, Marla Jipson of Des Moines and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Mayou of Hartley and Mrs. Roy Stephenson of Spencer
The Baumgarten Funeral Home of Hartley is in charge of the service
