Funeral services for Goldie May Jacobs, 77, of Spencer will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 in the Assembly of God Church. Pastor Larry Moore will officiate with burial in the Lone Tree Cemetery, Everly
Gene Williams, Irvin Williams, George Williams, Gerald Goodburn, Raymond Krause and Keith Cogdill will be the casket bearers
Jacobs, the daughter of William and Tellitha (Short) Cogdill was born May 12, 1904 in Stanberry, Missouri. Her family moved to Iowa in 1913 and she married Charles Jacobs on March 15, 1921
Following their marriage, they lived in Everly, Royal and Rossie. In 1942, they moved to Hastings, Nebraska, where they worked in the Naval Ammunitions Depot. At the close of World War II, they returned to Spencer, where she was a member of the Assembly of God Church
She died Wednesday at the Spencer Municipal Hospital
Jacobs was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1968; two infant sons; one sister, Mattie; and two brothers, Harry and Fred
Survivors include two daughters, Lois Hunt of Klamath, Oregon and Joyce Iseminger of Spencer; six grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Lois Williams of Cherokee; and one brother, Albert Cogdill of Spencer
The Warner Funeral Home of Spencer is in charge of the service arrangements
