Services in memory of Edmund Henry Huber were held 10 a.m. Tuesday. December 19. 1989, in Sacred Heart Catholic Church at Spencer. Father Timothy Schott officiated.
Casket bearers were Darrell Scharnberg, Donald Mushrush, John Portell. Charles Selzer, Orlin Peters and John Heuck.
Honorary bearers were Hilmer Huber, Louis Frazier, Willard Spangler, Millard Martinson and Dale Adolf.
Interment was in Lone Tree Cemetery at Everly. with Warner Funeral Home of Spencer in charge of arrangements.
Edmund Henry Huber, son of George and Caroline Fisher Huber was born December 11, 1910, at Festus, Missouri. His childhood years were spent in that community, and it was there that he received his early education.
On April 28, 1947, Edmund married Rosalie Mary Smith at Festus.
He farmed in that community with his father and brother until moving to the Everly area in 1951. He continued farming in the Everly area until retiring in 1976.
In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, woodworking, gardening and traveling.
He was a member of the Eagles Lodge.
Mr. Huber passed away at the Spencer Municipal Hospital on December 16, 1989, at the age of 79.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
Edmund is survived by his wife, Rosalie; one son and his wife, Jerry and Regina of Spencer; one daughter and her husband, Sandra and John Muetzel of Mesa, Arizona; four granddaughters, one grandson and one great grandson; one brother and his wife, Hilmer and Lindy Huber of Festus; one sister, Alice Hill of Fayette, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
