Funeral services for Blanche (Vi) Hubbard, 82 of Spencer will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Warner Chapel, Spencer. The Rev. David Barker will officiate
Burial will be at Lone Tree Cemetery, Everly
Casket bearers will be Harry Graves, John Orlando, John Rick, Jr. Darrell Faulkner, Meryl Smith and Basil Roberts, Sr.
Mrs. Hubbard died Friday at the Hartley Hospital
Warner Funeral Home of Spencer is in charge of the service arrangements
The daughter of Phillip and Nancey (Weaver) Hupp was born August 30, 1904 in Brown County, Indiana. She received her early education in Indiana, moving with her family to the Everly area at an early age. She completed her education in Everly
She married Ernest Hubbard in Spencer in 1923 and they lived in Moneta before moving to Everly. they moved to Spencer in 1949
The Hubbards had no children of their own, but their house served as a second home for their nieces and nephews. She also cared for her mother in her home for many years. Mrs. Hubbard also worked in a Spencer restaurant for many years.
Prior to entering the Hartley Hospital, Mrs. Hubbard lived with her nephew, Harry Graves near Hartley
She was preceded in death by her husband on August 9, 1953; four brothers and three sisters
Survivors include her sister, Golda Faulkner of Spencer
Spencer Daily Reporter, Spencer, Clay County, Iowa, April 7, 1987
