Funeral services were held for Caroline Friedrichsen at the Baumgarten Funeral Home in Hartley on Friday morning, April 16. Rev. Roger Hanson officiated. Burial was at the Lone Tree Cemetery, Everly. The casket bearers were Jack Peters, Scott H Friedrichsen, Bob Ingwersen, Terry Peters, Carl Ingwersen and Fritz Ingwersen.

Caroline Friedrichsen, the daughter of John and Dorothea (Seehlusen) Meyer was born April 25, 1890 in Scott County, Iowa. She was educated in rural schools near her childhood home. Her parents eventually moved to and farmed near Luverne, MN.

She was united in marriage to Henry Friedrichsen July 2, 1918 at Primghar, Iowa. They made their home farming in the Everly area. She was a member of the Hope Lutheran Church at Everly and the Ladies Aid. She passed away at the hospital in Hartley on April 12, 1983 at the age of 92.

Preceding her in death were her parents, three brothers, John, Henry and William; two sisters, Isabel and Minnie; one daughter, Irma; one son, Kenneth; and her husband.

Left to cherish her memory are four daughters, Helen Thompson of Rock Island, Illinois, Mrs. Don (Evelyn) Hildebrand of Rapid City, S.D., Mrs. Earl (Inez) Peters of Hartley and Mrs. John (Janice) Korczak of Costa Mesa, California; one son, Lloyd of Omaha, Nebraska; eighteen grandchildren, 32 great-grand­children, four great-great-grandchil­dren, one brother, Eldred Meyer of Luverne, Minnesota, other relatives and friends.
