Wilma Elizabeth Froehlich, 68 of Everly died Friday at Spencer Municipal Hospital
The daughter of Otto and Ann (Bielfeldt) Koehnk. Mrs. Froehlich was born December 30, 1916 in Everly. Her childhood years were spent in that community whereshe received her early education and graduated from high school. She continued her education at Buena Vista College in Storm Lake, after which she taught in rural schools and in Moneta
She married Norman J. Froehlich, October 22, 1940 in Royal. Throughout their marriage, they lived in Everly. For a number of years she helped her husband in the grocery store which they owned. She later opened gift and coffee shop in the old Everly Drug Store which she operated for five years
She was longtime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Everly
Survivors include two sons, Gary Froehlich of Sarasota, Florida and De. Richard Froehlich of Capistrano Beach, California; one daughter, Jolene Steele of Elk Grove, California; three grandchildren; three sisters, Hilda Petersen and Betty Runkle, both of Everly and Jeannine Klett of Corydon; and two brothers, Otto Koehnk and Raymond Koehnk, both of Everly
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Everly. The Rev. Thomas Munn will officiate.
Burial will be in Lone Tree Cemetery
Casket Bearers will be Larry Thiessen, V.R. (Barb) Dillingham, Mike Monnahan, Gale Birdsall, Gary Christofferson and Iven Kruse
The Warner Funeral Home of Spencer was in charge of arrangements
