Services for Jesse Marshall Fishburn, 85 of Spencer will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Spencer. Father Gerald Lyon will officiate with burial in Lone Tree Cemetery in Everly
Casket Bearers will be John Gamble, Russell Gamble, Dwayne Craig, Norman Craig, Mike Craig and Jim Myers
Fishburn, the son of Andrew and Molly (Bell) Fishburn, was born July 17, 1895 in Portsmouth, Ohio. He received his education in Ohio before moving to Spencer
He married Minerva Manwarren on November 17, 1915 in Pocahontas and they lived in the Spencer area all their married life
Fishburn served in the U.S. Army during World War I and was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church
Fishburn died Saturday at the Hilltop Care Center in Spirit Lake
He was preceded in death by his parents; four daughters; three sons; one step brother; and on step sister
Survivors include his wife, Minerva of the Hilltop Care Center in Spirit Lake; one son, Andrew of Spencer; two daughters, Helen Gamble of Humboldt and Charlene Craig of Everly; 15 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and one brother, Frank Fishburn of Cleveland, Ohio
The Warner Funeral Home is in charge of the service arrangements
