Funeral services in memory of Belle Myers were held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church Saturday morning, April 7. Father J. O. Coyle officiated.
The casket bearers were Milo Olhausen, Fred Wieben, Verlyn Jipson, Verlis Fanning, Jack Viers and Bob Burns.
Burial was at the Lone Tree Cemetery at Everly and the Baumgarten Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Belle Frances Myers, the daughter of William and Elizabeth (Gaffney) Fanning, was born December 16, 1886 in Sioux County, Iowa.
She was united in marriage to Frank H. Myers at Spencer, Iowa on March 4, 1914. They lived in Everly until 1922 and then at Hartley since that time.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Hartley.
She passed away in Long Beach, California on March 31, 1979 at the age of 92.
Preceding her in death were her parents, seven brothers, five sisters, an infant son, and her husband, Frank, in 1969.
She had made her home in California the last four years and left to cherish her memory are three daughters: Mrs. Donald (Lola) Dillehay of Gilroy. California, Mrs. Donald (Vivian) Trojahn of Long Beach, California and Mrs. A.M. (Melba) Giroir of Gibson, Louisiana; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Hazel Trarop of New Albany, Indiana, many other relatives and friends.
