Ralph M. Fischer, 79, Spencer, died Friday, September 20, 1996 at Spencer Municipal Hospital

Funeral services will be today at 1:30 p.m. at First Christian Church, Spencer with the Rev. Paul Davidson officiating

Casket Bearers; Don Payne, Raymond Banks, Bob Roti, Nick Udorvick, Jack Holiday, Chris Dudley

Burial will be at North Lawn Memorial Park, Spencer, with Warner Funeral Home of Spencer in charge of arrangements

Ralph M. Fischer, the son of John and Grace Martin Fischer, was born December 5, 1916 in Calhoun County. He received his education in Dickens and later graduated from Dickens High School

On March 14, 1939, he married Cleone Jones in Spencer. Following their marriage, they farmed form many years in the Spencer area. Later, he was an insurance agent for many years. They also ran Cleone's Ceramic Center from 1964 to 1976

He was an active member of the First Christian Church where he had served as a deacon, the Farm Burea, the Spencer Area Saddle Club, the Masons, Shrine and the Golden K Kiwanis Club

Mr. Fischer was preceded in death by his parents and two infant sons

He is survived by his wife; one son, John Fischer and his wife, Sue of Clayton, California; one daughter, Diane Fischer and her special friend, Dale of Mesa, Arizona; four grandchildren and one great grandchild
