May 23, 1977Services for Herbert E. Fiddelke, 70 of Spencer will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the First English Lutheran Church. Pastor Ronald Meyer will officiate.
Burial will be in Northlawn Cemetery.
Mr. Fiddelke died May 23 at the Spencer Municipal Hospital
Bearers; Lee Holt, Lloyd Pettiecord, Arthur Lachner, Ed Black, Charles Lange, Julius Unrau.
Honorary Bearers; Clifford Hanson, LeRoy Rusch, Orlan Mincer, Dean Rutter, Walter Dettman.
Mr. Fiddelke was born December 31, 1906, at Germantown, the son of Fred and Sophia Stoeckmann Fiddelke. He received his education in Germantown.
He married Luella S. Hoppe on April 10, 1934, at Germantown. They farmed near Paullina until 1950, at which time they moved to west of Spencer and farmed until he retired in 1969 and moved to Spencer.
He was active in church work and was active in the development of St. Luke Lutheran Home.
Survivors include his widow, Luella of Spencer; one son, Richard Fiddelke of Washington; four grandchildren; one brother, Marvin Fiddelke of Calumet; four sisters, Mrs. Esther Meyer of Mallard, Mrs. Lillie Bode of Primghar, Mrs. Sarah Axdahl of Sioux Rapids and Mrs. Elsbeth Richter of Lime Springs.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Albert and Hugo, two sisters, Ella Gebert and Ruth Steffen.
The Warner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
