June 4, 1994Della Mae Ferris, 91, Spencer, died Saturday, June 4 at the Longhouse Residence in Spencer
Graveside services will be held today at the North Lawn Cemetery, Spencer, with the Rev. Dale L. Hodges officiating.
Warner Funeral Home of Spencer is in charge of arrangements
Della Mae Ferris, the daughter of James and Lillie Buchanan Smith, was born march 21, 1903, in Emmetsburg. Her childhood years were spent in that community and it was there that she received her early education
On September 22, 1920 she married Jacob Webb in Emmetsburg
On April 22, 1930, she married George Ferris in Jackson, Minnesota. After their marriage they made their home in Dickens and Spencer where they farmed
Mrs. Ferris was a member of the United Pentecoastal Church in Spencer and a charter member of the Eagles Lodge
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband George, one daughter, five sisters and three brothers
Mrs. Ferris is survived by one daughter, Venita Douglas of Birchtree, Missouri; one son James Webb of Wellborn, Florida; three grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Mohr of Royal and Esther Roach of Greenville
