Funeral services for William Harvey Ferguson of 818 N. Grand Avenue, were held from Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Tuesday morning, July 19, at 10 o'clock. Rev. Father Leo McCoy, pastor, conducted the funeral mass

Pallbearers; Bill Steiner, Carl French, A.J. Mack, Mike Collins, Connie Doyle, Cliff Schurmann all of Spencer

The members of the American Legion were present at the church and conducted military rites at the graveside

Interment was made in North Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the directions of the Lightle Hayes Funeral Homes

Mr. Ferguson died at the Saint Mary's Hospital in Duluth, Minnesota, Saturday morning, July 16 at the age of 68 years

He was born on March 29, 1892 in Covington and on July 18, 1921, he was united in marriage to Madalyn Conn of Des Moines

He was employed with the Chicago Milwaukee Railroad for 11 years as a passenger brakeman on a run between Des Moines and Spirit Laek. In 1926 he left the railroad to start in the barber business which he continued until a year ago when he retired. For many years he operated his own barbershop in Spencer

He is survived buy the following; His wife, Madalyn Mary of Spencer; one son, J Dee Ferguson of Cloquet, Minnesota; one daughter, Marilea Cicchetti of Newark, New Jersey, one sister, Mrs. Mildred Emery of Des Moines and four grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents
