Services for Dora Elvina Farnes, 91, of Spencer were held 1:30 p.m., Monday at the Warner Chapel. Rev. David Barker offiated the services

Pallbearers: Stub Veitch, Magnus Johnson, Floyd Fitzsimmons, Carl Crane, Clark Crane, Bill Madsen

Interment was at Northlawn Cemetery

Farnes, the daughter of Nathan and Stella Miller, was born in Hopkinton on March 8, 1888. Her early years were in spent in Ottawa, Kansas. She attended nursing in Kansas and later Lennox College in Hopkinton. She received her nursing certificate in Minneapolis

She married Herbert Farnes on September 16, 1937 at Lake Preston, South Dakota. They lived in Franklin, Minnesota before moving to Spencer, 28 years ago

She was member of the Grace United Methodist Church and U.W.M. Circle No. 2

Farnes died at home Friday.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband; three children; and a step daughter, Gloria Farnes Courteau

She is survived by her husband, Herbert of Spencer; three step sons, Herbert Farnes, Jr. of Boise, Idaho, Allan Farnes of Albert Lea, Minnesota and James Farnes of Spencer; a step daughter, Geraldine Gosche of Minneapolis, 17 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; three half brothers, Harvey Talmadge of Hopkinton, Obert Talmadge of Princeton, Illinois and Maurice Talmadge of Vinton; and two half sisters, Mrs Abbie Klingenberg of Princeton, Illinois and Mrs. Gladys Gallager of Fredricksburg, Texas

Warner Funeral Home was in charge of the service arrangements
