March 12, 1983Funeral services for Mrs. Arilla (Sally) Fairchild, 79, of Milford were held Wednesday, March 16, 1983 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Milford. Father James Fandel officiated the servic

Burial was in the Northlawn Cemetery in Spencer
Fairchild passed away on Saturday, March 12, 1983 at the Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Spirit Lake
The daughter of Jake and Elizabeth Dotson Patten, she was born January 7, 1904 in Woodward. After receiving her education in Woodward, she married Herman Fairchild on October 12, 1931 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota
They lived in Clay and Dickinson counties, farming for many years. She was a charter member of the Eagles Auxiliary of Spencer and also belonged to St. Joseph's Catholic Church and St. Teresa's Altar Society
Survivors include one son, Bert Brock of Everly; one daughter, Ruth Spencer of Ruthven; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one brother, Jake Patten of Estherville; and four sisters, Zelma Peta of Estherville, Bertha Hansen of Milford and Goldie McBreen and Alva Madagan of Orleans
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1967; one daughter, Lucille Arbisi; one son, Lloyd in infancy; two brothers, Roy and Harry Patten; two sisters, Sylvia and Daisy; and one great granddaughter
The Warner Funeral Home of Spencer was in charge of the arrangements
