Stephen Agdrup Eriksen, 62 passed away on October 8 following a short illnes brought on with lung cancer.

A funeral services will be held today, October 11 at the Warner Chapel in Spencer. The Rev. Paul Hansen will officiate the 2 p.m. service

Burial will be in the Northlawn Memorial Park in Spencer.

A Military service will be performed by Glen Pedersen Post #1 of Spencer

Casket Bearers: Terry Eriksen, Todd Eriksen, Matt Raveling, Trent Eriksen, Brian Heisler, Chris Raveling

Stephen Agdrup Eriksen, the son of Agdrup and Francis Steiner Eriksen, was born September 1, 1941 in Spencer. His childhood years were spent in Peterson, He graduated from Peterson High School

Following graduation, Stephen attended two years of college. In 1959, He enlisted in the Army. He served his tour of duty in Germany until his honorable discharge in 1962

On February 16, 1963 he married Shirley Backstrom. They had five children: Todd, Tammy, Trent, Toni and Terry

A mason by trade, steve worked for several companies throughout his life and eventually came back to continue the family business, Eriksen Construction

He is preceded in death by his father; two uncles; Frank and Gilbert; and his grandparents

Mr. Eriksen is survived by his three sons; Todd and his wife, Maggie of Webb City, Missouri; Trent and his wife, Sharon of Woden and Terry of Manteca, California; two daughters; Tammy Eriksen of Mason City; and Toni Heisler and her husband, Brian of Emmetsburg; his mother, Francis; seven grandchildren; as well as other relatives and friends

Warner Funeral Home of Spencer is in charge of arrangements
