Funeral services for Soren "Sam" Kristian Eriksen, 90 of Spencer were held Thursday, February 12, 1981 at 1:30 p.m. in the Warner Chapel in Spencer. Pastor Al Moss officiated with burial in Northlawn Cemetery

Casket Bearers; Steve Eriksen, Mike Eriksen, David Schomburg, Soren Raveling, Russell Kress, Jack Schoelerman

Eriksen, the son of Svend and Johanna Eriksen, was born April 10, 1890 in Bronderslev, Denmark, where he spent his childhood and received his early education. In addition to his schooling, Eriksen was trained in brick laying in Denmark

After coming to America in 1911, he worked on farms in Illinois for three years. In 1914, he moved to Spencer, where he worked as a masonry contractor.

Eriksen married Anna Louise Moller on January 16, 1915 in Spencer, where they lived all their married life

A 50 year member of the Evening Shade Lodge No. 312 A.F. and A.M., Eriksen retired in 1955

He died Monday, February 9, 1981 at his home in Spencer.

Preceding him in death were his parents; one son Frank Theodore Eriksen, one great grandson, Darrin Michael Eriksen; five brothers and two sisters

Survivors include his wife, Anna of Spencer; one son, Agdrup Eriksen of Peterson; three daughters, Anna Marie Schomburg of Milford, Grace Raveling of Spencer and Shirley Kress of Webb; one daughter in law, Mrs. Frances Eriksen of Everly; 23 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter

The Warner Funeral Home was in charge of the service arrangements
