Frances Anderson Eriksen, 83, Everly, formerly of Spencer and Sibley, died Sunday, December 27, 1998 at Community Memorial Health Center, Hartley

Services will be at 1:30 p.m., today at Warner Chapel, Spencer, with the Rev. Shurmaine McAlphine officiating

Casket Bearers: Charles E. Selzer, Jeff Schoelerman, Jason Tesch, Brandon Selzer, Jay Stein, Brett Johnston

Burial will be at North Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Spencer

Frances Lorraine Eriksen, the daughter of August and Mary Anderson was born February 26, 1915 in Sibley. Her childhood years were spent in the Sibley area, where she received her early education, graduating from Sibley High School. Following her schooling she worked as a telephone operator in Sibley

Frances married Frank Theodore Eriksen on October 7, 1938 in Sibley. Throughout their marriage they made their home in Spencer, where for many years she did alterations for Eddie Quinn Clothiers. Following her husband's death, she moved to Everly.

She was a member of the Sibley Congregational Church a a friend of the Everly United Methodist Church

She served on the Everly Library Board, was a member of the Clay County Garden Club and a local knitting club.

In her earlier years she was active in PTA and Girl Scouts. She enjoyed reading, knitting and sewing.

She had been a resident of the Community Memorial Health Center, Hartley, since July 10, 1998

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a brother Charles Anderson; and a sister, Evelyn Fricke

Mrs. Eriksen is survived by three daughters; Lynn Selzer and her husband, Charles of Everly; Christine Schoelerman and her husband Jack of Everly; and Leslie Tesch and her husband, Orlyn of Hartley; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and two sisters; Helen Welter of Sheldon; and Louise Goach of Chicago, Illinois
