October 6, 1976Services for Gerald Henry Eldridge, 75 of Spencer were held Saturday, October 9, at 11 a.m. at the First English Lutheran Church of Spencer. Pastor Ronald Meyer officiate.
Burial was in North Lawn Cemetery.
Mr. Eldridge died Wednesday, October 6, 1976 at Longhouse Residence.
Casket Bearers; Marion Eldridge, Dean Reason, Clarence Bendlin, Virgil Bendlin, Howard Weber, Leon Bricker.
Mr. Eldridge was born January 16, 1901, in Waterloo to Lyman Eldridge and Josephine Brott Eldridge. He received his education in Waterloo schools and moved to the Ruthven area with his parents when he was 13
November 18, 1925, he married Flora Bendlin in Spencer, and the couple farmed in the Lake Center area for 25 years. They then moved to the Spencer area, where he continued to farm until his retirement in 1964.
Mr. Eldridge was a member of the First English Lutheran Church of Spencer.
He is survived by his wife, Flora of Spencer; and two nieces, Mrs. Emil (Ella Mae) Rustan of Emmetsburg and Mrs. Leon (June) Bricker of LeMars
The Warner Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
