Services for Flora Eldridge, 83, of Spencer, will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First English Lutheran Church. The Rev. Keith Kohlmeier will officiate at the service.

Burial will be at North Lawn Cemetery, Spencer

Casket Bearers; Robert Bendlin, Virgil Bendlin, Larry Bendlin, Donald (Pete) Adams, Don Bendlin, Bob Pullen.

Mrs. Eldridge died Tuesday at Spencer Municipal Hospital.

The daughter of William and Mathilda Berg Bendlin was born March 3, 1903 in Wolverton, Minnesota. The early portion of her childhood years were spent in Wolverton until her family moved to Manson, Iowa in 1908. The family moved to Clay County in 1916

She was baptized in Manson and confirmed July 6, 1919 at the First English Lutheran Church, Spencer.

She married Gerald Henry Eldridge in Spencer on November 18, 1925. Following their marriage, the couple farmed in the Lake Center area for 25 years, before moving to the Spencer area, where they continued to farm.

Mrs. Eldridge loved gardening and enjoyed doing it as a hobby for many years

Survivors include one sister, Alma Lacey of Spencer; and two brothers, Chris Bendlin of Spencer and Fred Bendlin of Whittier, California.

Mrs. Eldridge was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.

Warner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
