John Ebersole, 74 of Spencer was dead on arrival at the Spencer Municipal Hospital, Monday

The son of Simon and Kate Ebersole was born February 2, 1910 in Birch Tree, Missouri. His childhood years were spent in Blue Hill, Nebraska. It was in the rural schools of that community he received his early education

Mr. Ebersole married Eunice Beving, February 20, 1943 in Dakota City, Nebraska. They moved to the Fostoria area after their marriage and it was in that community, Mr. Ebersole farmed much of his life. He retired in 1977

Mr. Ebersole was a member of the Fostoria Methodist Church

Survivors include his wife; one son, Jonathan of Minneapolis; four brothers of Inavale, Nebraska, David Ebersole and George Ebersole, both of Hastings, Nebraska and LaVern Ebersole of Marathon; and one sister, Mary Ebersole of Springfield, Missouri

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Warner Chapel. The Rev. David Barker will officiate

Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery

Casket Bearers: Dale Tatman, Wendell Christianson, John Eeten, Roger Simpson, Doug Beving

The Warner Funeral Home of Spencer is in charge of arrangements
