A funeral service for Eunice Ebersole, 91, of Spencer was held Tuesday, February 11, 2003 at Warner Funeral Home Chapel in Spencer. The Rev. Kathy Spracklin and June Goldman led the 10:30 a.m. service

Mrs. Ebersole died at St. Luke Lutheran Home in Spencer on February 8

Casket Bearers: Mike Schoning, George Harrison, Jamie Gilmore, Jay Schoning, Gary Koenig, Dean Schoning

Interment was at North Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Spencer.

Eunice Ebersole, the daughter of Dooks and Elma Heikens Beving, was born January 31, 1912 in Summit Township, Spencer. She was raised in rural Clay County where she received her early education, graduating from Spencer High School. She also received her teacher's training certificate

On February 20, 1943, she married John Isaac Ebersole in Dakota City, Nebraska. They moved to the Fostoria area and it was in that community, they farmed until retiring in 1977.

Mrs. Ebersole taught rural schools in Clay County for 14 years.

She was a longtime member of the Fostoria Methodist Church where she was the primary organist for more than 50 years. Most recently, she was a member of the Langdon Methodist Church

Mrs. Ebersole was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers and six sisters

She is survived by her son, Jonathan Ebersole of Minneapolis, Minnesota; other relatives and friends

Warner Funeral Home of Spencer was in charge of arrangements
