December 17, 1979Funeral for Joseph Frederick Eachen, 90 of Fostoria was held Thursday afternoon, December 20, from Warner Chapel in Spencer. The Rev. Fred Schult officiated
Burial was at North Lawn Cemetery in Spencer
Bearers: Dale Tatman, John Eeten, Wendell Christianson, Herbert Janssen, Elmer Michelson, John Ebersole
Mr. Eachen died Monday, December 17 at the Spencer Municipal Hospital
He was born July 15, 1889 to Henry and Kathryn Huismann Eachen at Little Rock, Iowa
On March 27, 1920, he was married to Cornelia Allen at Sibley
He was educated in Little Rock and served with the U.S. Army in World War I
After marriage, they moved to the Fostoria area where they have since made their home. For a number of years, he did painting and trucking and was also assistant postmaster and mail messenger. He worked for the Fostoria Elevator until retiring in 1959.
He was a member of the Fostoria Methodist Church
Surviving are his widow, Cornelia; two sons, Clyde Frederick Eachen of Fostoria and Dale Warren Eachen of Fort Wayne, Indiana; five grandchildren and one great grandchild
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and one sister
