April 29, 2004Everett Ervin Dotson, 95, of Terril passed away Thursday, April 29, 2004 at Longhouse Residence in Spencer
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 3 at United Methodist Church in Terril. Rev. Kathryn Sprazklin will officiate the 11 a.m. service
Burial will be in North Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Spencer
Casket Bearers: Raymond Krieger, Don Schwaller, ron Zelinsky, Wayne Krieger, Willie Bielfeldt, Jerry Zelinsky
Everett Ervin Dotson, the son of Sam and Laura Rose Dotson, was born April 11, 1909 in Lake Township in Clay County. His childhood years were spent in Lake Township, where he received his education at Lake Center School. Following his schooling he began farming
Everett married Thelma Whaley on September 12, 1928. Following their marriage they continued to farm in the Terril and Dickens area for many years, until retiring and moving to Terril in 1973. In 2003 , he moved to Spencer where he eventually became a resident of Longhouse Residence
Everett was a member of the United Methodist Church of Terril
Mr. Dotson was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Thelma on September 5, 1998; one son, Erv; two grandchildren, Sharon Dotson Voss and Steven Dotson; one brother in law, Dewey Olson and two brothers; Levon and Ervil Dotson
Everett is survived bu five sons and their wives; Duane and Norma of Spencer, Dwight of Bloomington, Minnesota, Tom and Carolyn of Spencer, Mel and Joan of Tucson, Arizona and Denny and Lois of Milford; a daughter in law, Dana Dotson of Story City; 20 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren; one sister, Mildred Olson of Arnolds Park; one brother, Dale Dotson and his wife, Evelyn of Arnolds Park; one sister in law, Alice Dotson of Langdon; other relatives and friends
