Elmer Ellsworh Dotson, 82, of Spencer, died Wednesday, April 14, at St. Luke Lutheran Home, Spencer

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Spencer, with the Rev. Paul Kelly officiating

Casket Bearers; Steven Neville, Richard Neville, James Krage, Jason Krage, Jeffery Krage, Damon Dotson, Darren Dotson

Honorary Casket Bearers; Doug Scroggin, Michael Scroggin and David Scroggin

Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery

Mr. Dotson, the son of Frank and Margeret Barber Dotson, was born November 17, 1910, in Spencer. He moved with his parents at an early age to Sioux Township where he completed his education in 1922

On February 6, 1934, he married Genevieve Barry in Spencer. Following their marriage they farmed in Meadow Township for nearly 40 years. For the past 19 years Mr. Dotson has lived in Spencer.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Eagles

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two sisters and one great grandson

He is survived by three daughters and their husbands, Margaret and Richard Scroggin of Highland, California, Marilyn and Daniel Neville of Ankeny and Jeanette and Colonel Krage of Sioux City; one son and his wife, Jim and Sandra Dotson of Wahpeton; 14 grandchildren and one sister, Alta Johnson of Spirit Lake

The Warner Funeral Home of Spencer is in charge of arrangements
