Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at Grace United Methodist Church with the Rev. Paul Hansen officiating
Burial will be in North Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Spencer

Laura Lee Dobbins, daughter of Harry Earl and Elsie May Smith Cogdill was born September 9, 1927 on the family farm near Everly. She graduated from Ruthven High School in 1945 before attending Emmetsburg Junior College in Emmetsburg
On October 12, 1947, she married Donald Dobbins at Ruthven. Together they made their home in Spencer. She worked for Neisners Department Store for 18 years, then worked for K-Mart for 11 1/2 years and at McDonalds for seven years.
She spent winters in Alamo, Texas, following her retirement
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Spencer and the 037 Square Dance Camping Club
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and two brothers
Survivors include her husband of Spencer, three daughters, Connie Jean Dobbins and Linda Lee Dobbins, both of Spencer; and Patricia Ann Fairchild and her husband, Tim of Sioux Rapids; one son, Lt. Cmdr. Danny Joseph Dobbins and his wife, Rhonda of Chesapeake, Virginia; four grandchildren and one great grandchild
