March 27, 1976Funeral services for Fred D. Davis, 84 of Spencer, will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Warner Chapel. The Dr. Fred Schultz will officiate.
Burial will be in Northlawn Cemetery.
Mr. Davis died March 27 at the West Nebraska General Hospital in Scottsbluff, Nebraska
Bearers; Chester Seaton, Don Barber, Don Veitch, Mel Moser, Oscar Swanson, Wendell Capener
Mr. Davis was born May 30, 1891 at Malvern, the so of J.H. and Emma L. Madden Davis
He married Kathleen Florence Lamb on March 18, 1918 at Jefferson. She died on January 5, 1971.
He attended business college at Grand Island, Nebraska and managed department stores in Iowa for several years. He was a partner in the Studebaker dealership in Spencer for many years. He moved to Scottsburg, Nebraska in 1971.
He was an Army Veteran of World War I and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Scottsbluff, past master and 50 year member of the Evening Shade Masonic Lodge 312 A.F and A.M. and was a member of V.F.W. of Spencer.
Survivors include two brothers, Louis C. Davis of Scottsbluff, Nebraska and Marion Davis of San Diego, California and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and one sister.
Masonic services will be held at the Warner Chapel following the funeral with the Evening Shade Lodge 312 A.F. and A.M. in charge. Military services will be conducted by the Glen Pederson Post.
The Warner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
