November 17, 1980Funeral services for Carter Myron Davis of Royal were held Wednesday, November 19, 1980 at 1:30 p.m. at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Royal, Iowa with Pastor Roy Satre officiating.

Carter Myron Davis, the son of David and Maude Carter Davis was born January 25, 1905 in Linn Grove, Iowa. His childhood years were spent in that community and it was there he received his early education. Following his schooling. Carter began farming in the Linn Grove area.
Carter was married Violet Haley on March 23, 1927 near Linn Grove. He continued to farm in that area and the Greenville Community, retiring in 1963. They moved to Royal in the fall of 1964 and for 8 years Carter worked for the City of Royal.
He retired in 1973. Carter was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church; the Royal Odd Fellows and the Farm Bureau.
Mr. Davis passed away on November 17, 1980 at the Spencer Hospital, at the age of 75 years, 10 months and 22 days.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Donald Scott.
Carter is survived by his wife, Violet of Royal; one son, Myron LeRoy Davis of Royal; four daughters; Dorothy Jean (Mrs. Bill Scott) of Royal, Lois Darlene (Mrs. George Koenig) of Ayrshire, Betty Lou (Mrs. Bob Orthmann) of Peterson and Glatha Ann (Mrs. Wayne Langel of Milford; 18 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
Interment was at the Northlawn Cemetery in Spencer, Iowa.
Warner Funeral Home of Spencer, Iowa was in charge of arrangements.
