November 1980Services for Raymond Peter Ollinger, 75, of Rural Sioux Rapids will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Spencer. Father Clem Currans will officiate.
Casket Bearers; Greg Ollinger, David Yocum, Henry Yocum, Paul Ollinger, Roger Ollinger, Dennis Gilliland.
Interment in North Lawn Cemetery.
Ollinger, the son of John and Emma Baker Ollinger, was born July 1, 1905 in Keota. He spent his childhood in that community and graduated from Keota High School in 1924. Following his education, he began farming near Royal.
He married Lucille Parks on November 27, 1944 in Spencer and they continued farming in the Royal area before moving to the Rossie community in 1957. They farmed in that area before moving to their present home south of Spencer in 1952.
Ollinger was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Fraternal Order of Eagles
Ollinger died Tuesday at the Spencer Municipal Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, two brothers and two sisters.
Surviving him are his wife, Lucille of rural Sioux Rapids; three daughters, Mrs. Carol Johnson of Linn Grove, Mrs. Karen Jatho of Hartley and Mrs. Anit Sponheim of St. Ansgar; seven grandchildren; three brothers, Albert of Keota, Harvey of Wellman and Everett of Pocahontas; and three sisters, Mrs. Mildred Gilliland and Mrs. Ellmira Yocum borth of Pocahontas and Mrs. Bernadine Cullen of Sunnyvale, California.
